The summer festival of Azabu Juban is one of the biggest matsuri in tokyo.
Many vending booths are set up along the streets.
2009. August 21, 22 and 23rd, 3PM〜9PM

Hoseback archey performance will be held at Sumida riverside park in Asakusa at 1PM.
you can see horse running in fromt of you and japanese traditional archery.

Dragon dance performance will be held in Senso-ji temple at 11am, 1:30pm and 3pm on March. 18th
Teh event will be cancelled if it rains.

Ume Matsuri (Japanese Apricot Blossom Festival) at Yushima Tenjin Shrine, Bunkyo-ku will be held from Febrary 8th to March. 8th
Nodate (open-air tea ceremony) is held at 11 a.m. every Sunday during the festival period.

The Gishi-sai is a festival held at Sengakuji temple, honoring the forty-seven loyal retainers in Akoh(SAMURAI).
47 retainers of Akoh are buried there.
During the festival, the temple is crowded with visitors and a lot of stalls are opened along the approach.

The festival will be held at Akihabara UDX in Akihabara from Oct. 18th through Oct. 26th.
features Manga, figures, Anime CDs and DVDs, some other special shows and events ect.......

From October 7th to Oct. 13th, there is a festival at Kappa-bashi kitchen ware shopping street, close to Asakusa. many food booths, japanese drum show, parade and so on.
you can see lots of unique japanese kitchen wares and food samples as well.

on July. 13th Toro-Nagashi(floating of lighted lanterns on the water) will be held at Chidorigafuchi, close to the Imperial Palace. and also Mitama Matsuri(Soul festival) will be held in Yasukuni shrine, next to Chidorigafuchi from July. 13t to July. 16th, feafures a parade of mikoshi, japanese dance and music.

There is a Chinese lantern plant fair(Hozuki ichi) in Sensoji Temple on July. 9th and 10th.
hundreds od street stalls sell hozuki and wind chimes from 9am-10pm. it is very nice atmosphere. you should go there!!
